The Co-op Sponsorship Program

The Co-op sponsors and supports many community organisations, sporting clubs, educational institutions and community events each year.

We believe in making our community a great place to live. By giving back to active, local organisations, we believe this support will be recycled throughout the community, helping it and the people in it to grow, develop and prosper.

Sponsorship Rounds – Closed for 2018

All Sponsorship Rounds for 2018 have closed. Please monitor this site for future sponsorship announcements.

Each year, due to the nature of seasonal activities, The Co-op conducts 2 rounds of sponsorship generally in March and September.

Sponsorship is in the form of gift cards and store sponsorship only (please see ‘How we sponsor’ for details). Through our 8 stores, Barossa Home Living, Barossa Betta Home Living, Barossa Mitre 10, Fresh Foodland, Barossa Toyworld, Orchard Lane, Rod & Spur, and Barossa SportsPower Superstore & Surf, The Co-op can sponsor merchandise, equipment, uniforms, food, drink and all you need for events and functions.

Each round is submitted to The Co-op Board for their decision in March & September of each year. Successful applicants will be advised of the outcome shortly thereafter. Applicants can apply for both rounds, but ultimately the event/activity/project between both rounds needs to be distinctly different.

Who we sponsor

The Co-op Sponsorship Selection Criteria ensures that the applicant organisation:

  • Is an active member of The Co-op
  • Is a community organisation, sporting club or community event
  • Is located within the Barossa region
  • Helps to develop the community
  • Assists multiple people (not just a single individual)
  • Has a similar set of values to The Co-op
  • Completes the Sponsorship Application Form

How we sponsor

The Co-op Sponsorship Program

The Co-op Gift Card: Redeemable in any Co-op store, used as awards/prizes etc.

Store Sponsorship: If no account is set up, a trade account will be arranged and applied to your organisation’s membership card. If your organisation already has an account with The Co-op, the amount you are sponsored is then allocated to that membership so that when you shop at The Co-op, by swiping your card you can put the goods ‘on account’.

Other ways The Co-op supports the community annually:

  • Cash for Schools
  • Weekly Mitre 10 BBQs
  • Mall Stalls
  • Plus many other ways!
