John Auld graduated from Roseworthy College in 1977 and then spent 2 years working in the UK.
He returned to Australia and began working at Saltram Wines Estates located in Angaston in the Barossa Valley. After 5 years at Saltram John moved up the road to work for the Hill Smith family at the famous Yalumba Winery.
There he stayed for 28 years working in sales and marketing in both Australia and New Zealand.
It was in the Barossa Valley that John and his wife Annie raised their 4 children.
Following his retirement from Yalumba in 2013 John has continued to work in various board positions . He joined the board on the Barossa Co Op in 2014.
