MEMBER SERVICES
By becoming a member, you will have the opportunity to sign up for what we call ‘member services’. These are exclusive offers provided to our members, rewarding you for investing in Barossa Co-op.
Investment
We encourage our members to invest in our co-operative. The current interest rate is 2% above the target cash rate set by the Reserve Bank of Australia. The interest paid on member-invested funds is agreed by the members each year at the Co-operative’s Annual General Meeting. This rate is amongst the highest returns paid by any bank at the moment and members can increase their shareholding at any time by purchasing more shares.
An important characteristic of any co-operative is that every membership has only one vote at a meeting of members regardless of how many shares that membership owns.
It is important to note that rebate funds do not earn interest but can be easily transferred into share capital at any time so that they do.

Our Christmas Club
Get ready for Christmas with Barossa Co-op Christmas Club! We launched the Christmas Club savings program in 2013, and is designed to allow members to regularly put money aside throughout the year to help with budgeting for the additional cost of Christmas time.
These funds can then be spent across any of our retail stores – Barossa Fresh, Barossa Mitre 10, The Design Studio, Barossa Betta Home Living, INTERSPORT Barossa, Barossa Homewares, Orchard Lane, Rod and Spur, Barossa Workwear and Barossa Toyworld.

Fuel discount at Shell
Members can access discount on buying fuel when they purchase $50 or more at Barossa Fresh. Simply take your Barossa Fresh docket to Shell, Greenock Road Nuriootpa, to redeem four cents off per litre. Other terms and conditions apply, and they can be viewed here.
