At The Barossa Co-op, we are passionate about giving back to the community and enhancing our members’ lifestyle.
Convenience remains a fundamental benefit of being a member of The Barossa Co-op. Without our members, there would be no co-operative. While most people now have Barossa Co-op membership cards, being able to shop locally is still an important convenience factor.
The broad range of retail products and services available to our members enhances the benefit of signing up for a membership. The original store, Sheard’s Service Store, supplied a selection of goods across all of the product categories available now. The difference is the extent of the products we now have for sale. For example, the Barossa Mitre 10 store is ten times larger than the original Sheard’s Services Store, and so is Barossa Fresh.
We are proud to contribute to the cultural prosperity of our community, through offering convenient and quality shopping experiences, fundraising for worthy causes, and sponsoring community groups that align with our values and vision.

Key Sponsorships
Barossa Gawler & Light Football Association
The Barossa Co-op is proud to sponsor the Barossa, Gawler & Light Women’s Football, supporting the Women’s AFL Competition in the Barossa Gawler League since inception.
The competition is growing rapidly, with an increase in players every season. By way of support, we provide guernseys and a training t-shirt to each representative player, as well as gift vouchers to the best and fairest player from each team, each week as incentive awards.

Coulthard House
This historically significant building is an emblem of the proud history of the Barossa. We believe Coulthard House and the surrounding lands are critical to the history of the town, and a valuable asset for the next generation of Barossans to enjoy. William Coulthard, ‘Billy Jack’, whose name the house belongs, advocated tirelessly to ensure Nuriootpa grew and prospered into the town it is today.
In order to preserve Coulthard House as a community landmark, we proposed a long-term sponsorship agreement, supporting the ongoing expenses of Coulthard House to be met, including ongoing maintenance.
