Adelaide Hydro Fresh
30 years of freshness and still growing!
Adelaide Hydro Fresh is a family run farm that originated in 1985 in Virginia, South Australia.
Developed by Angelo and Gianna Russo, they were the first in South Australia to grow lettuce hydroponically, and since have been able to learn, grow and develop the business beyond lettuce and into the wider fresh produce market.
Over the last 8 years Hydro Fresh have commenced growing herbs to add to their ever-growing range of products which includes cabbage, cauliflower, kale, bok choy and more.
Growing hydroponically in green houses gives control over temperature and humidity which ensures the end product is of the highest quality. Hydroponic vegetables are grown suspended in a liquid solution containing nutrients and minerals that plants need to thrive. In turn, this produces a quality product that stays fresher for longer.
In their second-generation of hydroponic growing, Hydro Fresh see there is no better accomplishment than being able to continue what started 30 years ago, and for the business grow. They are committed to developing their relationship with local South Austrian’s and to continue to provide premium, healthy and fresh produce.
