Wintergrass is a highly invasive grassy winter annual, it is very adaptive thriving in shade, full sun and able to survive low mowing heights. Plants mature quickly and seed early, making it an aggressive weed which is very difficult to control.

Embargo being a pre-emergent herbicide inhibits the steps in plant cell division within the seed therefore stopping root growth. As a result the seed cannot effectively absorb the water and nutrients required for root and plant development.

TO BE EFFECTIVE THIS SEASON EMBARGO NEEDS TO BE SPRAYED NOW, BEFORE THE SEED GERMINATES

• Effective against not only Wintergrass but all major annual grass weeds in turf during summer and winter
• Season-long control of annual weeds (up to 18 weeks control)
• Reduces future weed set and germination
• Minimises nutrient and sunlight competition from annual grasses
• Application compatibility with wetting agents
