Celebrating Careers at Barossa Co-op.

Congratulations to Connor Waechter!

With over 340+ employees within the business, Barossa Co-op is extremely passionate about assisting team members to develop their skills and progress their careers.

Recently, within the Barossa Fresh butchery team, butcher apprentice Connor Waechter, has officially completed his Retail Butcher apprenticeship and became a fully qualified butcher.

Beginning his career journey in Barossa Fresh in 2019 as a school-based apprentice, Connor successfully completed all requirements in January 2023, and has been awarded a Butcher Trade certificate by the South Australian Skills Commission.

The Barossa Fresh Team are very proud of Connor’s achievement and hope to see Connor have a long and fruitful career with Barossa Co-op.” Dylan Murdoch, Barossa Fresh Business Leader, said.

“Connor has worked hard to complete his apprenticeship and has been well supported by our skilled Butcher team.  Connor is proving to be a very valuable member of the team and we are delighted he is continuing his career with us.” Michelle Wilkinson, Barossa Co-op HR Manager, said.

Connor has now secured a full-time position within Barossa Fresh’s butchery team after the completion of his apprenticeship.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity that Barossa Co-op has given me to be an apprentice and now a qualified butcher.” Connor said.
